Grease is a semisolid lubricant which is made of soap
emulsified with mineral or vegetable oil. These type of lubricants
are applied on the machine parts that are not lubricated frequently
or where the oil hasn't reached for a longer period of time. The most
unique feature about lubricant grease is that it has a high
viscosity. Oil lubrication can be a bit expensive sometimes,
therefore, grease is easily confined and simplified which provides
less costly retention devices. It can also work as a sealant to avoid
any kind of contamination.
Features:
-
Keeps away effective deteriorated seal
-
It is easy to contain than oil
-
It holds solids in suspension
-
Maintains stability under high pressure
